AI-POWERED CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIES
Our EduCreation Platform offers underserved youth the opportunity to dive into the world of content creation with Canva. We help them develop their graphic design skills, so that they can express their unique and authentic identity and make their mark in the digital world. From memes and gifs to AI-powered presentations that make a case for causes in their neighborhoods, Canva empowers youth with the transformative power of creativity. A key element of our mission at That Could Be Me Foundation is premised on the fact that engagement in the arts can reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety by up to 30%, especially in low-income communities where the risk for mental health issues is 1.5X higher.
Our platform offers underserved youth the opportunity to dive into the world of generative AI & prompt engineering with Riffusion. Riffusion breaks down barriers to creative expression for the less musically & artistically inclined, using generative AI to help youth craft lyrics, define their own unique sound, then put it all together as a mini-soundtrack including AI-generated cover art. We use this technology as a way for youth to introduce themselves to each other, a first step in building relationships, standing up for themselves, and opening doors to new opportunities - and as a way to lessen social anxiety. For aspiring young creators, we’re merging mastery of multiple digital economy skills with critical social-emotional skills!
We offer access to the innovative Webtoon, so underserved youth can create their own webcomics and share their unique narratives and lived experiences with the world. Storytelling and expressive writing have been shown to help youth cope with their emotions and deal with stressful and traumatic events, by illustrating situations that reflect the world not just as it is, but as they envision it should be. Our EduCreation Platform empowers guided discovery & situation reframing, and encourages young people to let their imaginations run wild to become digital storytellers today!
We help underserved youth dive into the world of artificial intelligence & prompt engineering with instruction on OpenAI. Whether they’re exploring creative writing, creative problem-solving, or visualization & image creation with Dall-E-2, OpenAI's powerful tools can help unlock new possibilities and expand their horizons, offering youth multiple ways to express their thoughts, opinions, and ideas while building skills for the digital economy. At That Could Be Me Foundation, we believe that technology access can enable innovative new wellness service delivery models in low-income communities, where 63% of schools already suffer from lower access to broadband internet and digital devices.
That Could Be Me® provides underserved youth with access to LyricStudio, enabling them to remotely collaborate in real-time to craft their own lyrics, poetry and spoken word. Whether aspiring performing artists or speechwriters, young people can come together to creatively express themselves, and their vision for their communities through Lyric Studio’s generative AI collaborative writing tools. We believe that collaborative peer support around shared lived experiences is a crucial component of youth well-being!
By offering a space for creative writing via Wattpad, our platform helps young people develop their literary skills, build confidence, and connect with a global community of readers and writers. Empowering underserved youth to tell their own stories is a key part of our mission to help them authentically express who they are and unleash their potential. Wattpad enables them to create fictional short stories in the form of a direct messaging exchange … a powerful feature that enables anonymity in expressing difficult subjects and feelings.
By providing access to Character.ai we empower young people to explore their creativity through interactive storytelling, develop critical thinking skills, and engage with AI-driven character simulations. This innovative tool allows youth to craft unique dialogues by interacting with AI-generated characters, enabling them to explore complex emotions and scenarios in a safe, supportive environment. Empowering youth to experiment with different perspectives is essential to our mission of helping them discover their authentic voices and realize their full potential.
Supporting underserved youth in developing their artistic talents to participate in the digital economy is central to our mission at That Could Be Me Foundation. Our platform offers underserved youth access to CapCut, a powerful photo and video editing app that enables them to express their unique perspectives through visual storytelling. CapCut helps them transform images they capture on their cell phones every day in their neighborhoods into aspirational imagery that reflects their vision for community change.
Our EduCreation Platform provides underserved youth with the opportunity to dive into the world of podcast production using Soundtrap. Soundtrap allows youth to invite community guests into a virtual sound booth to discuss the issues and causes that matter most to them, from passions & hobbies, to the gun violence epidemic & mental health, to their vision of what they want to see in their communities and the world. Whether beginners or aspiring digital producers, Soundtrap has the tools underserved youth need to create, record, and publish their unique creations and That Could Be Me® provides a safe space for them to speak their truth!
